This week’s feedback
This week’s feedback is from the lovely Monika Kozub of Berlin Boudoir!
This week Rina has been reading
This week Rina has been reading Bernardine Evaristo’s “Mr Loverman” I loved Girl, woman, Other, so I was so excited to read this new book. This is one of her older novels published before Girl, Woman, Other - it’s just as great!
This week Madhvi has been reading
This week Madhvi started reading Ordinary People by Diana Evans.
I picked this book up off the street — I love Berlin, where people leave their unwanted things out for anyone to take. The whole city becomes like a treasure hunt — circular economy in action, baby!
This week’s inspiration
This week’s inspiration is feminist philosopher Sandra Lee Bartky, who we discovered by researching this episode. She was a professor of philosophy and gender studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and died in 2016.
Her most popular essay was Foucault, Feminism and the Modernization of Patriarchal Power, which you can read here, and her most quoted book is Femininity and Domination. We’ll be putting it on our reading list!
