This week’s distraction
Is this short film about delivery riders - give it a watch!
This week Madhvi read
This week Madhvi started reading Fifty Sounds by Polly Barton, which is all about onomatopoeic words in the Japanese language. Loving it so far!
This week Rina read
This week’s Rina has read The Feminist Killjoy Handbook by Sara Ahmed. This is not only an excellent read but also our first book for our feminist book club that meets for the first time in 2025 end of January! Slide into our DMs if you want to join!
This week’s Inspiration
This week’s inspiration is French woman Gisèle Pelicot, 72, whose husband drugged her and invited dozens of men to rape her while she was unconscious.
He was charged last week along with another 51 men in France’s biggest rape trial. She bravely used her voice and made her trail public in an attempt to get “shame to switch sides.”
